About the MBA Program
- Our program can be completed in 12 months
(Students may take longer, if they choose)
- Four entry points per year (late August, mid
November, late February, and mid May)
- US and International Students take classes together
- Class size is never over 25 students
- Outstanding faculty, all with executive
experience and most with international experience
- One of the largest MBA programs in Southern California
- The program includes 12 core classes and 3
elective classes (15 total classes)
- Students may choose a general MBA or an emphasis
in Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, International Business,
Information Technology, or Management/Organization Behavior
- GMAT may be waived for applicants with very good
grades in quantitative classes (math, statistics, etc.)
- We work with several English language programs
and will issue a Conditional Letter of Acceptance, as appropriate
- The TOEFL is waived for students who complete
the highest level of an English program recognized by CLU (please check
with CLU for a current list of recognized programs, including ELS Language Center).
- ELS Language Centers has over 50 locations in
the United States,
including one on the CLU campus
- Applicants without a business degree background
may apply to the One Term (3 month) pre-MBA, which is called the Business
Foundations Program

Cost of an MBA at CLU
- The cost for the 2009-2010 academic year is about
$45,000 (US) for the total program, including:
- Tuition of approximately $30,000
- Books and all fees (including mandatory health
insurance) of about $3,000
- MBA Housing costs for 12 months of about $11,000
(It is a very expensive community!), which includes:
- Private bedroom in an apartment or large house
shared with other graduate students
- Housing is fully furnished, including all
utilities, local phone, wireless DSL, and cable TV
- There is no other available student housing in
our city, and there is no viable public transportation
- The only extra costs are for groceries, laundry,
entertainment, and other personal expenses (about $6,000)
- To obtain a student visa in 2008, the US
government requires certification of $50,000 in available resources
- The Pre-MBA (Foundations), if required, is a
3-month program and requires another $12,000 for an I-20.
- There are NO scholarships, loans,
assistantships, or any other forms of financial aid

To apply, we require:
- A GPA of 2.8 is preferred. We ask for bachelor
transcripts, student statement of purpose, 3 recommendation letters,
financial statement, and a $50 application fee; We have rolling admissions
for each of the 4 entry points per year
